19, 20 and 21 April: Easter egg hunt!
How about celebrating Easter with your family in an original setting? On Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Monday 21 April, the gardens of the Château will be transformed into a playground for an Easter egg hunt!
- For 2 to 4 year-olds: an area dedicated to the little ones, for a safe egg hunt.
- For 5 to 12 year-olds: a thrilling treasure hunt through different parts of the park!
To immerse themselves even deeper in the history, children can dress up in one of the knights’ or princesses’ costumes on loan from the welcome desk.
Open non-stop from 10.30 am to 6 pm, no reservation required.
This activity is in addition to the visit: +€2/child.
During the egg hunt days, the fun workshops are cancelled, but the costumed children’s tour will continue.
From April 5 to May 11: children’s activities during the french school holidays!
From 5 April, the château reopens its doors to visitors… and 4-12 year-olds are in the spotlight for the duration of the Easter holidays (all zones)! What’s on:
- Fun workshops (weekdays at 11am and 3pm / weekends at 3pm, in French only)
- Costumed tour (daily at 4.30pm, in French only)
- XXL games on the Grande Terrasse (accessible at all times)
- Musketeers’ treasure hunt in the wooded park
- In the Footsteps of Mistipouf’ game trail during the self-guided tour
And a Easter egg hunt on 19, 20 and 21 April (2 options: a secure area for 3-5 year-olds, and a treasure hunt for 6-12 year-olds).
At Gizeux, the children are the kings during the holidays!
Save the château chapel!
Help protect France’s heritage and become a patron of the Château de Gizeux!
Make a donation on the platform of the association La Demeure Historique (a government-approved organisation), to help fund the restoration of the chapel, built in the 15th century and completely redecorated in the 19th century.
Bonus: if you pay tax in France, your donation can be deducted from your tax bill! La Demeure Historique can issue a tax receipt on request (for French taxes only).
It’s a collective project that’s both rewarding and meaningful for all lovers of old buildings!
